1. ADVENTURE REPORT

Dear Readers!

Can you believe that January is almost over? Where does the time go! I know that the last newsletter was a bit on the somber side. But life’s been quite upbeat for me lately.
Hmmm. . . where to start?

I threw another huge party with Kelly B as my continued AIDSLifeCycle fundraiser. This time the party was in Seattle at the Wet Spot. This was an all women’s party that started off with a mini-strip tease class by Indigo Blue. Tons of women showed up to perform and compete in the Strip-O-Rama. Because the space was a private sex club and not a strip joint or a bar, there were none of the strip rules to abide by and the women were over the top in their wild on-stage antics. A mob of lusty women swarmed the girl with the candy panties right on the dance floor!
The live DJ kept the crowd amped up and dancing while the space was converted from a catwalk staged auditorium to a debauched sex palace.

The crowd was totally pumped and the play action was hot. 120 women converged, partied and raised nearly $1600 for this good cause.

I was in Seattle not just to throw this orgiastic fundraiser, but also to spend two full days in jury duty. Well, not the usual kind of jury duty as it was 16 hours spent looking at really amazing erotic art. As far as jury duties go, it’s the best kind!
I had the honor to be one of the five jurors for the upcoming Seattle Erotic Art Festival. www.seattleerotic.org/
Nearly a thousand pieces of sculpture, painting, illustration and photos arrived from near and far. We judged them all. Some will be auctioned off. Many are available for purchase. The Seattle Erotic Art Festival was founded in 2002 by Seattle’s Sex Positive Community Center to promote freedom of sexuality, speech and creativity through the erotic expression of fine art. Last year over 4,000 visitors attended the weekend festival. Hope you can make it to this years Festival, April 15 to 17. You just might see me there!

I have a two and a half week teaching tour to Australia coming up in March and I’m unbelievably excited! I’ve never been there.
I’m already sad that I can’t stay longer and that I won’t be there in time for the Sydney Skin Two Rubber Ball! I have a full tour schedule there but hoping to get to experience the local sights, people, fun, food and everything!
Oh but don’t tell my editors that I’m off to have fun in Australia!
I’m supposed to be typing my fingers to the bone finishing two more books.
Recently I finished one of my three very-behind-deadline books.
I finished the booklet titled “Foot & Shoe Worship” for the Toybag Books Series from Greenery Press. Stay tuned for the actual release date.
The other two books, “Master Han’s Daughter” from Circlet Press and the collections of my essays from Daedalus Publishing should be out soon - schedule gods and the muses permitting.
I wish I could say that writing came easily to me. It doesn’t. It takes a lot of time chewing on my pen and many trips to the kitchen for many cups of tea and lots of weird fidgeting and spinning in my chair to get it done.
Oh, how I wish I could do creative writing on the airplane! But it’s a bit hard when I’m crammed into seats that are tiny even for me with the keyboard up to my chin while balancing those dreaded packets of peanuts and soda! LOL!
But my beloved editors are breathing down my neck so I’ve been putting my nose to the literary grindstone. I hope to have good reports on that effort soon!
