1. MINI ADVENTURE REPORT
Dear Readers,
Greetings!
I’m writing this as I sit in seat 16A, flying somewhere over
beautiful gorges, deep canyons and verdant forests in the Western
United States. I’m on my way to the East Cost for classes.
I’ll need to keep this short, so I can actually get this out
to you tonight.
The past month has been really exciting. I’ve had several
“firsts” of my life.
ON THE ROAD FOR ALC 4
Most notable were the eight days I spent on the road as a
volunteer roadie for AIDS Lifecycle. It’s a remarkable event
all for the sole purpose of raising money for critical care services
for HIV/AIDS. Over 1,600 bicyclists and 400+ roadies travel 585miles
from San Francisco to Los Angeles in 7 days.
Through all of our efforts we raised over 6.8 million dollars. I
want to thank all of you who sponsored my efforts. You’ll
each be getting a personal e-mail from me as soon as the final stats
are out. As a roadie I wasn’t required to raise the money,
but how could I not? Remember the sell-out sex and play parties
called “Bang 4 the Buck” that Kelly B and I threw last
year in San Francisco and Seattle? 100% of the proceeds from went
to the ALC efforts to end the disease. It was a profoundly moving
experience.
I want to thank Kumi and Red Stick Man who turned me on to LiveJournal.com
as a way to report in live blogs from the road without a computer.
I used my cell phone to upload 5 minute long daily reports to my

very PG, so it’s office and kid safe.)
I used to do a lot of volunteer work for San Francisco Sex information.
I would like to be able to do more socially positive volunteer work.
Unfortunately my teaching tour schedule doesn’t much allow
for that. So this is my creative solution. Once in a while I mobilize
to throw some wild parties for this great cause, ask my students
and friends to sponsor me on the ride and then spend 8 days per
year out of my life to keep all these cyclists safe on the actual
ride.
This is something that I can do to change the things that bring
sorrow and darkness to the world. I am tired of my friends dying.
I’m tired of sex, such a wonderful and beautiful thing, being
associated with death and disease. If I can’t have my dead
friends back, then I’m going to stop the disease from taking
more!
I’m continuing my efforts with fundraising. Once the details
for my next AIDS LifeCycle fund raising page is set up I’ll
let you all know.
(By the way, we’ve already begun working on the 2005 and 2006
Bang 4 the Buck parties in Seattle and San Francisco!)
Oh and if you go to http://www.aidslifcycle.org
and look in their official photo section, somewhere in day 2 or
Day 3 you’ll see a photo of a goofy gal in a bunny hat, sun
glasses and pom-poms leaning out of a car. That’s me. Apparently
that photo is now the screen saver for the computer at Grand Opening

HANG GLIDING
That’s another first. I’m learning to hang glide.
I arranged for some lessons with the Mission Soaring Center this
past winter, but my schedule was so wicked I didn’t get the
chance to. I finally had my first lesson! Did you know that hang
gliding has it’s own equivalent of a bunny slope? Yup, they
do! I actually did manage to catch air and soar for a bit. I was
up about 6 feet for a distance of 10 yards or so. Can’t wait
to go back.
WILD PRIDE
I got to ride on the back of the lead/pace bike for the San
Francisco Pride Parade and San Francisco Women’s Motorcycle
Contingent. Wow, that was an exciting first! There I was, looking
over Kelly B’s shoulder down Market Street and there was not
a single car on our huge main boulevard that cuts through the center
of the entire city. We were at the head of this ginormous 5-hour
party of a parade!
It sure was good to be home for a change. With all the friends in
town and parties everywhere, it was party, party, party, all weekend
long. After the parade I headed to Leather Alley, a whole area within
pride just for kinky folks.
I got one of the sexiest boot-blacking ever from this hottie boot
black gal. There I sat, atop the throne of a boot-blacking stand,
wearing an oxblood leather mini police dress with knee high fetish
boots. She stoked and massaged my feet through the boots in every
possible way. By the time her wet tongue pressed eagerly into the
supple leather of my boots, I was melting. Then I go to go into
the back “play” area and do a demo with an adorable
blonde called Lorelei. It was supposed to be a rope and SM demo,
but we got a bit carried away. . . and well . . . It turned into
a scene. Later I was told that was the first orgasm officially noticed
at a Leather Alley demo. I guess they couldn’t help but notice
as the sound of her climax got broadcasted over the speaker there.

AND THE NEW BABY IS DOING FINE!
I birthed another baby – my new book that is! This
is the first month of existence for my essay/how-to book “Wild
Side Sex: The Book of Kink” from Daedalus Publishing. It was
along and painful labor but I’m very happy with it. Thank
you to everyone who came out to the Chicago and San Francisco book
launch!

As if I didn’t have enough things to do! As mentioned
earlier, I just started a blog on Live Journal, or “LJ”
as the denizens there refer to it. Why the LJ when I already have
my yahoo group? Well my yahoo group is a discussion space. I’m
there as the moderatrix. I keep the yahoo student lounge free from
spam and off-topic conversations. But my LJ is where I can talk
about my day’s adventures, personal thoughts, pondering and
sometimes totally off topic stuff. I choose to remain the calm moderator
on my list, but on my LJ? Watch out! I just might go off on something
or get totally emotional. Many of you listed to the live, audio
broadcast that I did from AIDS LifeCycle. You heard me crying and
laughing. That’s what you’ll get there.
