Dear Readers,
As I write this, I'm up outside a small town in the Rockies in Colorado,
on the deck overlooking a beautiful Western meadow.
I'm staying at my friend Fred Norman's place. (He's the legendary
whip maker, who's work graces the dungeons and closets of rather
interesting celebs.)
Yesterday I saw two elks wandering through the 'back yard' and a
small fox. It's absolutely gorgeous here. I’ve been enjoying
the blissful weather, attempting to catch up on e-mail (a perpetual
hell) and make some headway into the next chapter for my new book...
In a couple of hours my companions and I will head down the hill
to Denver where we'll play and frolic at Thunder in the Mountains,
a fabulous queer-pan leather event. It's one of my top 3 favorite
national leather events. Perhaps I’'ll see some of you there!
(Then again, this ought to be in past tense, since by the time this
newsletter goes out, the event will have ended. I'll have more 'explicit'
report on the event after I return from Denver, New York and Winnipeg.)

It's been a while since I've updated you on my adventures . . .

PhotoShoot-o-Rama
I did a really hot bondage photo/video shoot for hogtied.com
Oh, my, that was a load of fun. I know that it wasn't the usual
kind of shoot for them. They handed me a most gorgeous, deliciously
and totally flexible submissive called Lorelei... gave me a space
and a ton of time and just let me do what I wanted. I loved the
experience. I haven't logged on to see it yet, but I'm looking forward
to. (It's hard to get a reliable and fast Internet connection while
traveling. Which might also explain why this eNewsletter will arrive
to you after Thunder and why some of you have not had a reply to
your emails yet.)
Speaking of photo shoots, I've been on several photo shoots lately.
The bondage rigging that I did for Ken Marcus will be up in the
Guest Gallery section of BeautyBound.com
He's the famed photographer who trained with Ansel Adams, ruffled
the feather of NEA, shot the covers of Penthouse for ages, and now
continues to shoot edgy and sexy photos of beautiful women. His

It's truly exciting to work with a photographic artist who is passionate
and precise and obsessive about his art and craft . . . Gee, I can’t
relate to that description!
I also got to rig twice for Craig Morey, the photog who shot the
cover for my Seductive Art of Japanese Bondage and known for his
alluring photos of women. We shot Miss Bonnie, who is the adorable
Chinese American woman in the pigtails in my book and Kumi of
KumiMonster.com
What was fun was that Craig gave me permission to shoot on his set
and he even gave me some basic photography lessons on the new digital
camera I got for my birthday. (I'm really trying to overcome my
failure as a Japanese. I never remember to take photos when I travel!
How tragic! Lol!)

It's been a while since I've been in front of the camera (ok, so
I'm pushing 40, what do I expect? lol!) but I did some photo modeling
for Michael Manning recently. That was fun! Latex chaps, cut off
halter fetish cow girl out fit as well as the Spider Garden latex
and corset outfit of the Castallena and a few more I won’t
share * grin * More collaborations to follow. . . Such collaboration
is a real artistic turn on for me!
Michael Manning is the amazing erotic illustrator and graphic novelist
of Spider Garden and now of his new book, "In
A Metal Web"
His book release party at Madame S a couple of weeks ago was a lot
of fun. His new work is even more sexually charged and finely crafted
than ever!
In the past couple of weeks, Michael Blue and I have been up to
our usual magical collaborations in shooting bondage in really interesting
locations. (Hey, if you have a really cool location, we want to
shoot there!) First we shot Ivy Red, hot as a firecracker and all
feline nimble and sexy. (By the way, she's one of the characters
I've written into my next book, a collection of hard core science
fiction stories to come out from Circlet Press, some time next year.)
I bound her in a cage, suspended in the most improbably ways. Oh,
how I love models who will push the bounds of the human body for
the vision of collaborative erotic art! This is when I really feel
like I'm a choreographer working with an exceptional ballet dancer.
I cannot wait to shoot Ivy again!
Then I shot the delightful Aylith from London. I first had the pleasure
of binding her at Torture Garden (the most fab fetish club in London
with a dungeon area!) a couple of years ago. She melted in my hands
as I suspended her and pulled her around by her pretty tresses through
space. . . and her moans melted my heart. This time we occupied
an enormous former furniture-manufacturing warehouse in the industrial
area of San Francisco. The ceiling was well into three stories in
height. Dressed in a black latex cat suit, I suspended her at about
a second story level from a giant chain dangling from the ceiling.
There she moved and twirled in the hemp and bamboo that set her
in flight yet bound her freedom. Oh, then there were the kidnapping
fantasy shoot where I told her nasty erotic stories while she, in
a corset and not much else, writhed on the floor in the pleasures
of the rope and sweet stories from my voice.
There are days that I want to weep with joy. This was one of those.

Steve Diet Goedde has now released a set of new posters of some
of his best-known images. One of them is my "Gargoyle"
photo where I look like some Frank Miller / Dark Knight inspired
Gargoyle of the Notre Dame. (Taken by climbing illegally high on
San Francisco park property. Kids, don't do this at home!)

Rope on Chanel Dresses? Yes! Surface magazine
Check out the current issue of Surface magazine. It's issue
#42. It's one of those super fancy high fashion magazines. There
you'll find an editorial fashion shoot section shot by Tiziano Magni
(amazing fashion photog who shoots the covers of Cosmo, Marie Claire,
etc.) called Love Knots.
That blonde Swedish model? Yes, she's the darling of the Louis Vuitton
print campaign. Ok, so the editors didn't pick the more risky photos,
but that's ok. I'm delighted! It's also super exciting to work in
such a charged fashion studio environment as part of the styling
team. Let me know what you think!
Travels
to Dallas and New Orleans
I didn't travel a whole lot in the last month, but when
I did I had a ball! I went to Dallas, invited by the Church at the
Lizard Lounge where I did non stop 2 hour bondage suspension show
that climaxed with me suspending Masuimi Max up to the second floor
rafters where she flew like an angel with pasties.
It's a really lively club and I'm looking forward to going back.
Oh, local artists gave me some really cool treats! I got these most
cool custom etched glass with my image on it, and a set of custom
devil wings, molded in latex and hand painted to glue onto my skin
as if they're sprouting out of me. When I get home I'll look up
their info and pass it on.
Then I went to New Orleans where I had the pleasure of presenting
to NOBLE. It was an afternoon of bondage classes, social and play
party as Jay Wiseman and I both presented classes. I hear that they
have a special pony cart that'll parade around the French Quarter
during Southern Decadence, which happens over Labor Day Weekend.
Who knows, I might be there.
New Orleans is truly a magical and sensual city. They have taken
languid vice and pleasure to a level of fine art. Las Vegas may
be Sin City, but New Orleans is the den of decadence and sensuality.
Oh, I was wicked. I seduced a handsome young man into engaging in
things he’s never done with people he never expected to (and
I don’t think he still has any idea who I am. Just another
gal at the bar . . . ) and then made a very indecent proposal to
an ingenue. She followed my lead in the sheet to nearly dawn.
I've lost my watch in New Orleans. It's not surprising. Somewhere
between food, sex, sleep and the sultry air, even I succumbed to
the seduction of the city. For the time I was there I locked my
workaholism and type A into a prison somewhere in the very back
of my subconsciousness and continued to ignore their pleas to address
stress and responsibility.
So that's how I came to lose my watch in New Orleans.

Comment on Community Gossip that hit the Press
(This first appeared as a small section of my current Babylon
Bound column for Spectator magazine.)
MAIN STREAM MEDIA AND KINK GOSSIP
I don't know how the whole situation will have played out by the
time this article hits the press. I just got the news, splattered
all over the main stream media. I'll keep the names out, because
in the end the names aren't important. What's important is how the
media is having a feeding frenzy with this.
There's a beautiful Femme who dwells in the sexy margins of society.
She happens to be a really nifty kinky friend of mine. There's a
famous man. He's a media Biggie. Mr. Biggie's splitting with his
long time Wife. The Femme’'s got a thing going on, a very
kinky thing, with Mr. Biggie. The Femme's been long separated from
her ex-Hubby, with whom she had a kink business. Wife sues Mr. Biggie
for biggie money. Femme's ex-Hubby airs Femme’s kink, sex
biz and Mr. Biggie’s sexual practices to the media, at the
same time. It’s all ugly, stupid and very uncivilized.
I don't mean to down play the broken hearts and hurt feelings, senses
of betrayal and the power struggles of a divorce, but frankly, that's
nothing new. . . and it's the stuff of everyone's lives. It would
have been nice if they could have cleared it up like grown-ups,
but that's why there are so many divorce lawyers and mediators.
What I find really unpleasant is that the personal sexual style
of Mr. Biggie is being dragged into the public gaze and the media
is having a feeding frenzy on that. It just makes me angry that
one’s consensual sexual activities should be used to make
him look bad. So he's kinky. Who cares? I'm more concerned about
the honor of the people involved. Do they have kids? If so, is he
a good dad? Is he paying child support and going to little league?
Who broke promises? How did they deal with that? And fundamentally
it's their private lives, so who cares?
Unfortunately this goes to show you that kinky sex is still dirty
stuff and it's used as a weapon to judge and morally condemn a person.
For all that we'd like to think of America as being so hip, worldly
and sexually savvy, we've not changed much from the muck-racking
MacCarthy and yellow journalism era.
If we're forced to hide, then we're forced to wear the mantle of
shame and the scarlet letters of social persecution. This is why
it's important to support the rights of the socially marginalized
consenting adults. . . whether they are gays, lesbians, bisexuals,
transfolks, sex workers, leather men, leather women, fetishists,
etc.
Something worth thinking about as we head into Queer Pride month
and Leather Pride Nights."
