Dear
Readers,
Greetings! It sure is nice to be back home after nearly a month
on the road. I love traveling and teaching. . . and also love seeing
that beautiful Golden Gate Bridge as I return to my beloved hometown,
San Francisco.
Speaking of San Francisco, one of my "agents of perversity"
has reported back in with coverage of the recent kinky activities
in San Francisco.
She's a sexy, petite domina who lives in the twilight world of San
Francisco's sexual underground. Recently I discovered that she writes,
and that she'd be at many of the parties I couldn't go to due to
travel schedules. . . so I assigned her with a mission: To report
back to us the fun at the kink clubs.
After all, you don't want to just hear me blather all the time!
Hmmm, I think maybe I'll start a crew of fetish agents reporting
in from various places. What do you think?

tight, shiny black latex slides into the briefing room with evidence

Things have been hopping for Bay Area kinksters, with two Fetish
Balls in as many months. Madame S & Mr. S Leather threw the
San Francisco Fetish Ball in April to a packed house at the DNA
Lounge. Just about everyone got dressed up in fun and fabulous fetish
finery.
This was a stylish, high-energy crowd of international pervs. And
finally a San Francisco fetish party on a Saturday!
The fashion show featured the striking creations of Puimond, Torture
Garden and Madame S. Off stage, "cute and dirty" corset
designer Puimond looked riveting in his skin-tight latex cat suit.
Flesh suspension by Allen of TSD was an attention-getter, as was
Richard Hunter's over the dance floor bondage suspension with his
new Hellraiser cage.
The highlight for many was the lube-wrestling match between Masuimi
Max and LuciFire. This slippery hot and rowdy performance was a
definite crowd-pleaser.
The DomDominion International Fetish Ball and Dominatrix Convention
took place at the end of May.
The Fetish Ball capped off a weeklong series of events which included
workshops, munches, cocktail parties and dinners for dommes, fetish
models and photographers.
The main event was held on a Friday at 550 Barnevald, a large dance
club that was outfitted with 3 dungeons for playtime.
The stage was alive with kinetic performances and innovative fashions.
Dark Garden got the crowd going by setting their show to the theme
of Chicago, featuring burlesque vixens Kitty Kitty Bang Bang. The
1920s musical went perfectly with Dark Garden's unique corsetry.
Stormy Leather's show had a woodsy and whimsical air, inspired by
the blockbuster Lord of the Rings. AMF Korsets featured a piercing
demonstration with Mistress Persephone and was set to a horror movie
theme. And The Black Room/Pass Distributing mixed in dialogue from
The Matrix while showcasing their eye-catching, oh-so-sexy latex
wear.
Modeling all of these lovely fashions were Kumi, Eden Wells and
the Empress of Erotica to name a few. For the finale, our very own
Fetish Diva Midori took to the stage for a sophisticated reverse
strip tease involving black latex and lots of shine! As the infectious
loungy-groove "Une Very Stylish Fille" played in the background,
Midori covered herself in rubber from head to toe to reveal a fetishistic
dream of that "very stylish girl".
The Kinky Salon took place on the same weekends as the Fetish Balls,
providing a more intimate counterpoint to the bigger events.
Hosted by Polly Pandemonium's Moral Minority in their Mission Control
space, these parties were small, underground affairs with less focus
on music or dancing and more on meeting and mingling.
Attendees were an eclectic mix from the fetish scene, along with
a few Burning Man devotees. The first salon took place the night
before the Madame S & Mr. S Leather Fetish Ball in April. It
gave the opportunity to introduce oneself to and be photographed
by renowned fetish photographers including Charles Gatewood, Craig
Morey and BeautyBound's very own Michael Blue.
This was a fun and freaky interactive gathering where pervy performances
blended with party conversation, giving one the feeling of being
an active participant in a luxuriously long scene. Selina Raven
tortured her poor, submissive pain slut in myriad ways throughout
the night.
The Hot Cock on a Stick girls showed off their rubber versions of
the shopping mall food court uniform, making a great advertisement
for Polly's How to Make Latex Clothing classes. No doubt, we'll
be seeing more highly imaginative creations from those who've taken
her course. Herpes the Clown, the ladies of Fantasy Makers, Miss
Conduct, Professor Violet's Mystic Midway Toy Theater and Miss Lucid
Dawn also made their presence known. To the delight of many in the
local scene, Polly has plans to throw more Kinky Salons – check

for the latest.

Turned on by books
I enjoy reading, but I have to admit, I don't often get the chance
to just sit down and read a book. Partially due to my schedule and
workload, but it's also due to late acquisition of English. As I
learned to read English when I was 15, I'm still painfully slow
at reading. Oh, but I do love reading! During my recent vacation
in the British Virgin Islands I brought some reading material and
thoroughly enjoyed it. OK, I'll admit, I was hugely turned on by
the readings. So I suppose you can consider this my summer vacation
erotic book report.
The first one is Michael Manning's new graphic novel, "In a
Metal Web." If you're a long time Michael Manning fan, this
is the much awaited for book, the next installment to the Spider
Garden saga. If you don't know his work, you ought to see it. My
image, as well as all the illustrations at fetishdiva.com/
were drawn by him. You can see more of his work at the NBM
site
Mr. Manning is also having a gallery show
and reception at Madame-S in San Francisco on Saturday, June
28 from 7pm to 9pm.
Some sample images from the show can be seen here.
It is, by far, his strongest work so far: The art work is stunning
and sophisticated. The story is weaving into greater intrigue. The
sex is simply mind-blowing and sensual at a supernatural level.
Oh, to be able to live in his world, occupied by latex clad naiads,
captive princes, Tengu with untold sexual powers, sexual slaves
woven into a biomechanoid flower, kimono clad servant girls enduring
training, etc, etc.
Come to think of it, I wonder if the directors of the Matrix didn't
get some of their creature images from Manning's work? Although
Manning's spiders prefer to milk out the orgasm from the human,
not their individuality. His world is that of lust, desire, longing,
elegance and life of supernatural leisure. (Not the Matrix life
of captive oblivion.)
The next book is one that was first published in 1966, and promptly
banned for it's sexual content. It's "Gordon" by Edith
Templeton. By today's standards, the sex act described is not shocking.
In fact the sex itself is often described in a very perfunctory
way such as "...and there he took me again." But it is
not for the purple prose that one would read this book for. It is
not the gynecological descriptions that one would be shocked by.
What is shocking, even today, is the description of one woman's
experience and decent into D/s relationship. The main characters
don't play with safe words. They don't even know what a safe word
is. I can't say that the relationship is healthy. It isn't. But
for a work of fiction, the psychological portrayal is riveting.
It's simultaneously chilling, sexually arousing, intriguing and
repulsive. Hey, some people read Stephen King. I read Gordon. If
you're tired of the D/s stories with perfect princes, castles full
of pony girls and stiff and/or wretchedly florid dialogue, read
Gordon. It'll chill you in the middle of summer.

Fetish on Stage at San Francisco Opera
Some of you know that I'm a huge opera fan. I love the primal dramas,
the costumes, the singing. I weep to Wagner. I can't help it. You
may think that opera is stuffy, but it's not always. Heck, I've
seen brazen sex acts like humping on kitchen tables, cross dressing,
bondage and foot sucking, live on stage.
This season, San Francisco Opera introduces a spectacular new production
of La Damnation de Faust, The Damnation of Faust.
I hear rumors from credible sources that it'll be fully attired
in fetish wear.
Their site even warns "This production contrasts good with
evil -- purity against corruption -- and contains violence, sexual
content and partial nudity intended for mature audiences."
I've also heard that Jade Blue Eclipse, an edgy and talented contortionist
from our local community will be in the show. I've not seen it yet.
I'm looking forward to seeing it with my opera buddy, Gumby. We'll
honor the spirit of the opera and will also attend in full fetish
wear. I will finally have the right place to wear a piece of fetish
history and treasure that I have : A full leather cat suit made
in the late 60's / early 70's by John Sutcliff. He's owned Atom
Age magazine, an important mid-century fetish magazine, and he was
also the one who made Mrs. Peele's outfit for the Avengers.

Speaking of high art and fetish. .
.
The San Francisco Symphony recently had their biannual Black and
White Ball. An enormous, multi block party with all the food, drinks
and music you can take in for one E-ticked ride, all as a benefit
for the symphony.
We danced the night away to India.Arie, Pete Escavedo and Latin
All Stars, Berlin and I was right on the ront row rail for Joan
Jett.
I've attended 4 of them so far and have worn a new fetish ensemble
each time. This time I wore a new corset dress made by Puimond.
It's a mix-breed, hapa design, just like me.
It's very Asian in the fabric and accent, yet it's very boom-boom
Euro in the curves and I dressed it up with hair up and a white
fox fur wrap for that old Barbary Coast Madame look.
Black brocaded Chinese silk with fuscia flowers, a Mandarin collar,
21" waist reduction (thanks to his engineering!) and Mae West
mermaid skirt.
HB attended with me, all done up handsome in a leathered tux! People
loved the get up... God I love this town! You can see the photo
of my latest favorite dress at my
favorite corset maker's site.
And if you want to see the hunky corset maker in compromising poses,
go to his
"other" site. Oh, I got to tie him up too! (That's
in the Gallery section under Blue, as in Michael Blue)
